I'm looking at purchasing a used Gitzo G 1563 monopod, but can't seem to find any details about it. Searching for '1563' on this site turns up nothing relevant. Nothing relevant on the first few page results of a Google search... Is this an outdated model? Does anyone on here have one of these? Can anyone give me any info on it or a mini-review?

Since I don't really know what I bought, I have no idea if I got a good deal or not (go ahead and tell me if I didn't), but figured it has the 3232 head, which is what RRS recommends to use on a monopod, and with the name 'gitzo', it can't be worth much less than that.
As you can no doubt tell, I'm a monopod newbie, but looking forward to receiving it and putting it to use.

Yep, I knew it was not CF, see my earlier post ('advertised as 'not carbon fiber').
I didn't ask the seller b/c I found the auction only about an hour before close, and I figured I'd just take a chance....I've taken bigger chances with bigger amounts of money before, and sometimes I've even came out ok.
We'll see what it is when it arrives I guess ... so far no one on here seems to have any options or knowledge of a '1563'. Should be interesting to see what shows up at my door...
