Mark.. I just got a Leica Lux2. It is the same camera as the Panasonic LX-1.

Mark,
What convinced you to buy the Leica over the Panasonic, given that the cost about $300 more for the Leica? Specification wise, I cannot see any difference. There are subtle differences in the case design, but dimensions and weight are exactly the same.

I don't know how to tell if there are any differences in lens coating, but the design of the lens is the same, also.

The Fuji F11 looks like a fine camera, but carries with it the obligation to purchase a new media format, xD.

Dan I had read alot of different opinions and I thought based on what I had read that the Leica was not identical to the panasonic. If i knew what I know now, I would get the panasonic and save the money. There is slight design difference in the casing but the statements that the leica has a more solid build is not true. Mark
