Does anyone know if the D200 will be supplied in *limited* amounts towards xmas? Does this mean that not all people on a *list* will have a camera by xmas... thats the only backlash i can think of for Pre ordering!!!
I just got a call before asking if i wanted to have a play with the D200.. So there is at least one in Australia but i was at work and also as the D2x arrives this arvo, I didn't want to discourage my big purchase lol

Nikon learned a lot from the D70 and newer regarding supply. They built up inventory weeks before the ship date so they would be more readily available. Even though there was huge initial backlog on the D2X, Nikon was cranking out 8000 units a week to fill the orders. I'm assuming they will do the same with the D200.

I'll take six if only I knew when I could get them. I dont worry about Nikon quality.Just like you Jack, I've never had a bad Nikon.
