I found this on the net. A guy in Japan has made an adapter for the Nikon DK-17M to fit the Canon 20D ...Take a look

DK 17M is the critical part and is still impossible to find. Perhaps Nikon only makes these once or twice a year?

What's up with that big flange behind the eyecup?
This sure doesn't look very good to me unless I'm misunderstanding something.
