What about the 70-200 f2.8L IS and vignetting? I noticed some even when stopped down to f/8. Is this the lens or the 1DsII sensor doing this?
Never noticed any vignetting at any setting with my 70-200 IS from f/4... mmm... maybe is a mkII thing...
Sorry, I spoke too early... I have to correct my initial findings about 24-105L vignetting.
If you shoot against a uniform background (sky) you'll see indeed some vignetting on the very corners, either at 24mm and 105mm.
You have to stop down a couple of stops to completely get rid of it.
The vignetting only affects luminance though, the loss in sharpness at edges is quite low, especially for a zoom, stop down only half stop and you're done.
Correcting vignetting (when you have to, because many times it actually adds to the image IMO) is also pretty easy with ACR or in PS with PhotoKit from Pixelgenius.
I don't see vignetting in my 70-200 IS though and btw Willem... 3.5 stops ?!? What did they test, a lens with a 52mm filter on it ?

Thanks, Marco.
Can you tell if the vignetting is significant less at say 28 or 35mm?
