Gary you are very modest. Your photography speaks for itself. Your photos are legendary and have been an inspiration to many of us. It is a standard that many of us dream of reaching and one day achieving the skill and technique you have developed through countless hours of practice.
I appreciate all your advice and hope to see many more examples of what can be accomplished through hard work (not that some good luck doesn't help )
Hope you are going to Bosque again this year cuz I want to see what you capture with that little box and long thingy hooked to it.
I've never seen subject/background separation as good as that blackbird shot. I know if I blink they'll fly off the page. Magical, Gary. Hope to see you this year.
Gary -
Outstanding quality of light reflected in your first two shots, besides making a point about manual focusing. Will have to give it a try in more situations myself.

You are much too kind in your comments Leo. Thank you very much!
Well I will have my little box and long thingy there again this year. Whether I get any captures or not is unimportant to me. Just getting out with my camera amoung all those birds will be pleasure enough.
Words cannot express the respect for the skill and the artistry shown here. The time you spend setting up the shots, that is true dedication to the art of photography and understanding the camera, the light and the scene. Awesome, and somewhat intimidating.......
dumb question maybe, but do you use a light meter?

Thanks so much bud! I will be looking for you when I get there. Would love to spend some time shooting together.

Thanks Ken! Manual is like anything else, it just takes a little getting use to.
