p.2 #1 · New D200 nameplate image found on the net...

I too would like to see the arrival of the mythical D200, but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. I like the way sources are credited in these web news flashes of any soon to be released camera. "Reasonably reliable", "in the know" and "nikon insider". This type of journalism has been around for years and people still believe it. Look at the Star or National Enquirer, they have been altering photos and muckraking forever. How come so many folks are willing to believe any rumor of a camera from Nikon without offical Nikon information ?

All one has to do to create a spec list for a D200 is to get the D70 and D2x specs and place it some where in between. Then doctor up an image of a D70 or D100 to whatever you wish it to look like and voila!, you have your D200. If I can find some time where I am not working or shooting and processing my D70 images, I will make my version of a D200 and post it here. Just for shits and giggles.

Exactly! Where do these people find the time? I have to say that the most recent images from my D100 have been more than satisfactory. Why be in a rush to spend more money when the existing equipment fills the bill quite nicely? Not that I'm not interested, of course...
