I just went live with my site about an hour ago. I've been wanting to post in this thread but I wanted to wait until it was finished. Hope you all like it.

thanks for looking
I really like the site...
Only one comment: get rid of the gear section. It makes you look like a technogeek rather than an pro photographer...
This is only my gallery page. My previews and online ordering are hosted by JonesBook here in Oregon. A bit more pricey than, say Collages, but less expensive if you want previews up for about a year. Plus, better image quality, better customer service, better products (though like with Collages, I can choose my own labs or print in-studio).
That is a very nice site, i just wish the tabs on the left were a bit more consistent with the rest of the 'book' style - but overall it's very nice.
Here's mine, although it's not nearly as flashy (pun only partially intended):
Certainly not the best, but it automatically generates gallery pages, plus you can change the skin... and probably could completely change the layout if I knew more about CSS. =)
Hi everyone, thanks for the comments on my site. I had a major spike in bandwidth and figured I'd come investigate. Turns out I'm pretty close to home, as I'm also a moderator here the FM wedding forum.
My site is a BluDomain Template, I only take credit for the photos. That Ron Mac site is cool, but I doubt it's not a BD site.
Someone made a comment about the music on my site. It was using one from Enya, one from Yanni, and third one from Paul somebody. No, I did not have permission to use the music and have since changed it to some royalty free music I found on freeplay.com. At the risk of burning up my bandwidth, feel free to check it out and comment on the music.
One of my favorite sites of late is www.storybyphoto.com by Gino L (a fellow FMer). Very nice site with beautiful images.
I disagree with the comment "I dont like that site http://www.photopacifica.com the navigation on it is very poor."
The website is a portfolio, with a link to contact info, and a short bio. Everything that a photographer basically needs.
The other site, www.digitalshutterspeed.com , is a marketing shotgun. It spits everything at you all in one shot, every page has a reminder about buy buy buy, and the prices are a bit steep (no offense intended, I work at a photo store, and know how much prints *actually* cost)... 10$ for a 4x6" photo?
If one is going to do an "ordering" based website, it should be beyond the basic portfolio and services offered. More of an "online depot", rather than ruining a first impression with dollar signs, and scaring potential customers away with agressive tactics.
If i'm visiting a photographer's website, I want to get a sense of their style before even reading their bio. I also want to see their best work, not the work they're trying to sell back to their clients in the immediate moment. Best work from the past, regardless of age, is good to see. No repetition if possible, diverse choices of work, showing off skill and possibility.
But then again, i'm just 21, i've only worked with a few pro shooters, all I have is a digital rebel and a few lenses, and I work at a camera store to make my living at the moment... what's my opinion worth?

That $10 is Australian currency by the way dude
Remember that when you're costing photos, you have to incorporate the the amount of time and effort you put into an image.
edit: oh, and some (model) photographers may opt to "make their money" on prints rather than charge a silly/upfront amount of money for a sitting/shoot.
