I'm not an NPS member. Took 12 days including shipping, and when you consider that I shipped it 2nd day air via UPS, and UPS took it from Oregon to Kentucky then to El Segundo California via the scenic route. Weird. Nikon shipped it back by UPS ground.

I'm not a NPS member either. It took me about a month (can't remember exact dates at the moment) to go from "failure/mailed out" to "repaired/in hands". However... my case seems to not follow the usual. I had to request a second case review after my first case review was denied for extended warranty. That in itself took over a week.
Of course, I never asked them to hurry since I have my D2X.
What's funny is that it took all that time to get it fixed... and they sent it back to me next day air. Go figure.
