I just saw a utube video defining Nikon's auto detect, looks really interesting. I wonder if Sony has any plans to include this camera trap tech in their cameras? Fabian Fopp did the utube.
We've got Z8s at work, so we played with the tech, and it is interesting. We've never come up with a practical use for it.
I think Nikon needs to introduce a hardware-based lightning trigger that shoe mounts and integrates with the camera's OS so your set-up is entirely through the GUI. That'd be a very attractive proposition.
