I went all-in on an OM-1 II + 100-400 and 45mm 1.8 setup for an upcoming international trip (we have a baby now, and he's cramping my style when it comes to my carry-on!).
One setting I am not having much luck setting up is a way to quickly switch between a wide AF with bird/face subject detection to a very small, center point AF point with no subject detection (AF to the point only).
Currently, I set up the back button to switch to a small, center-point AF without subject detection. That works great, but when I want to revert, I have to move the joystick, then scroll the wheel to the AF size I want. I also tried half press shutter for wide AF, and back button for small AF, but both were using the subject detection, so the small AF box wouldn't get priority over what the camera thought was a subject.
Anyone have any settings that would resolve this issue? Or am I trying to hard to turn my Olympus into an R5 or Z8?
