p.1 #1 · Should i Replace my Sony Nex-7 with a new camera? (thinking of a7r ii)
ive had my nex 7 for about a year now and ive loved it as my first camera though as im taking more and more pictures its ugly heads are poking out ever so slighty. it could be my fault for buying used since i couldnt afford a high ranged camera but here are some of the issues if been noticing and why i want to get a new one
when focusing with the half press and then taking the photo it would slowly go back out of focus and THEN take the photo, this wouldnt seem that bad but recently it has been happening more and more to the point where every photoshoot i do ill experience it 10% of the time which is annoying
the low light seems very bad. this could be user error like all of the reasons but it feels like when it gets slighty dark ill have to crank up my iso and when i turn it up to 800 it already is experiencing very noticeable digital noise
the auto focus seems very unreliable. again this could be me being stupid but when i see the image is in focus and afterwards i check it it appears way out of focus like i wasnt even trying and in tense situations (sports photography) it makes it very stressful when taking pictures
my camera doesnt seem to have full 10fps, again this could be me but when on the speed priority shutter it would shoot only around 6~ photos per second. sometimes it would do 10 but sometimes it would go then pause then go back again
those are the issues i can think of at the top of my head but i could make an edit mentioning more
but i'm looking to upgrade though my budget is very strict since it took me 2~ just to save for my 400$ nex 7 but im thinking of the Sony A7R ii to me it seems good just looking at its specs but i dont know if itll be worth it or if theres better ones out there. it has a really good megapixel count, full frame, good with low light, and is in a good price range. again it could be my monkey brain looking at the specs i want but to me it seems good, especially the megapixel count and on mpb i could get one for around $500 which is still alot for me since im broke but it seems like a goal for me in the future.
please help me, and don't be afraid to say some harsh criticism i am still a beginner and want to learn more. and i will be answering questions

Yeah, the NEX-7 is not the most reliable with AF. If you like APSC, though, Sony did better with the models that came after. The a6500, for example, has pricing as low as the a7rII, but the focus is overall more reliable than either the NEX-7 or the rII. It also has IBIS, which will be a nice uptick over the NEX-7.
What lenses are you using? It seems like that should be the bigger deciding factor. If you've got a solid kit of APSC lenses, then it might be best to stick with that size sensor.
