I know Fall is coming soon...YEAH!!!!!!!!

My sedum, this one is red, is blooming and all the bees and butterflies are in a frenzy!

This Monarch was "spotless". The colors were as "just painted". All "lines" still intact before the "battle" begins for pollen on their trip South.
Dan

"Giant Zinnia"

I found out last year that when I painted my water bottles with vibrant acrylic paint, I had more "flyers" stopping by.

I'd love a butterfly garden! One day perhaps. Excuse my ignorance, but what's in the bottles? Water?

Interesting 3 shots brother Dan. Are the plastic bottles feeders for the butterfly?

Yes they were water bottles.

Just for fun, this past Spring I tried to attract more "flyers" to my patio.

Don't know what gave me the idea about using acrylic paint and spraying the bottles and posting them on a "plant" stake but my goodenss did it work!!!!

America's 250th birthday made me paint many red, white and blue!

I have 16 different colors and post them in my huge concrete flower pots on my patio or in the huge outdoor plastic flower pots.
The birds love them when the sunflowers and zinnias go to seed...a resting place as they pick at the seeds.

My hummers love them also! Butterflies are drawn to the colors and I have flowers everywhere for them to land on.
Thanks!
Dan

Thank my brother!
NO the bottles are empty and are for decoration only!

I buy outdoor green plastic plant stakes at varying lengths, paint them and put then on the tips of the stakes.

Anything that flys loves them as the are embedded in my huge concrete and plastic planters.

My goldfinches LOVE them!! They can rest on the bottom of the bottle while picking the seeds out of my sunflowers, zinnias and my coneflowers.

Thanks brother!

My Sedum are just starting to change to their mauve colors, but my Sedum look much different than your Dan'l, When I was a kid, Grandma had some at her house that purportedly, the leaves could be blown up like a balloon. Try as we might though, we could never achieve the desired result!
