Thanks, Malka. The picture was taken through a thick, dirty glass and needed some cleaning.
Yes a venomous snake, but not as "bad" and aggressive as Black Mambas. And they are a lot prettier
That water is sprayed at regular intervals into the enclosure to make sure there is a needed high moisture level for the snakes to survive. It simulates their natural habitat (they also drink water droplets off leaves) .Yeah, I guess you can call it fake rain. I was lucky to be there when that happened.

Contrary to the Black Mambas, these are shy and elusive snakes and will rather escape than confronting humans. Keeping a safe distance is always the best choice, though.
