While walking around the Marine Nature Study Area in Oceanside, NY I came apron this juvenile Green Heron fishing from the rocks that support one of the bridges. I was only about 10 feet (3 meters) from it and like most Green Herons born in the preserve it had no fear of people. I took some close up photos and then started backing up to fit it in frame. These photos are picks of multiple times it caught a fish. In the 10 times it went for a fish it missed once.
Comments and suggestions welcome,
Morris
