Leica M to L mount lens adapter using PL design locking mechanics from lens maker Thypoch. The adapter is based on the famous cinema PL or ‘Positive Lock’ adapter design.
The adapter locks rock-solid and avoids any play between the lens and camera body when manipulating focus for stills or in a video rig.
I really like the design, so much so I’m keeping my M to Sony version of the same adapter, but I recently acquired a Leica OEM adapter at a steal that reads 6-bit coding, so I’m parting ways with this effectively new adapter.
The two wings can be moved (or replaced with a textured plate) to allow for preference of position or to avoid interference with camera buttons, etc. A separate locking switch prevents the lens from falling out even if unlocked.
The adapter does not read 6-bit lens codes.
Comes with caps, pouch and parts/hex key to adjust/remove the locking wings. No issues, works as new.
