I'm selling my Canon VL2 rangefinder that was serviced by CameraWorks in 2025.
The VL or VL2 is, for me, the high water mark of the back-door loading Canon rangefinders -- the rotating finder doesn't have the cluttered frame lines of the later models, the rangefinders have held up better over time, and the shutter curtains are metal.
Cosmetically it's a really nice example with minimal finish wear. The metal curtains show a little crinkling (common) and has no issue on the functionality.
Mechanically the shutter is firing nicely at all speeds, the transport is really smooth, and the back door latches nicely. The rotating wedge prism works great.
Optically the viewfinder is very clear with a strong rangefinder patch.
