This is the home of a Funnel-Web Spider following a downpour today. They wait inside for their prey to land on the outer part of the tunnel, then they zip out and grab their meal. The kind we have around here are harmless to humans, but there's an Australian variety that is extremely venomous and potentially deadly. Even if they are harmless here, I won't be sticking my finger down this hole.
