Whenever I have worked with Oreo's I have always found it next to impossible to find a "perfect" specimen. There are always imperfections particularly in the small thin line details on the flat surfaces. I suspect it is caused by the cookies rubbing together in the package. Fair enough. This time, for some reason, Helicon Focus decided to create additional distortions to the edge ridges in this 15 frame stack. There is some evidence of "grinding" on the cookie's edge but Helicon stacking process added more. Granted I was VERY close to the cookie and was "stacking" manually so that might have caused some of the distortion but, looking at each frame of the 15 images, I don't see the additional distortion.
Anyway......all that to say.....here's a photo of the edge of an Oreo cookie.
Another most excellent presentation Larry!
I will take a song lyric and modify it a bit for an "Oreo..."
Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five.."The Message..." Don't push me cause I'm close to the edge........
Again kudos Larry!
