I bought this from its original owner in 2011 and used it in spurts over that period of time. It’s been stored in a sealed box with desiccant bags in between uses. I recently used it on an old Mac with Vuescan software. That version of Mac has the firewire connection so it plugged in directly. I did install the software that came with it on windows but was not impressed by it and got Vuescan. The scanner is loud and slow but produces beautiful output.
