PLEASE NOTE: This Nikon D700 - Mirror is STUCK in the UP position. You will need to get the mirror repaired. Everything else works. The funny thing is the mirror was working until I went to test the camera last night and it got stuck
I had to flag this as condition 6 since there is no condition to indicate the Mirror needs fixing.

What in the world.. You were correct! I was able to push the mirror down and the darn thing worked for like a couple of clicks.
I then pushed it down again and noticed the edge at the front top where the mirror lands is kind of sticky.
So the sticky felt is causing the mirror to stay in the up position. I'm going to try and clean that with alcohol.
