p.1 #1 · Is the 500pf about to be discontinued?

Looking at getting a 500pf for a while, seems the price is now $1999 instead of the $3500 ish it was before. Maybe its a bout to be discontinued? Either way I placed an order.

Would you get a brand new one or used one for like $1600? Too bad Nikon warranty is not 5 years anymore.
