Now, if you look at a traditional 70-200mm f/2.8, those things are absolute tanks. They're heavy, they're massive, and they cost an absolute arm and a leg. This 70-180mm is Nikon’s answer for the rest of us. It is about 40% lighter and way more compact. It’s basically the equivalent of getting premium, pro-level performance packaged into a lightweight setup that doesn't drag you down when you're out exploring.
Here is why this lens is a winner:
Constant f/2.8 Aperture: You get that beautiful, creamy background blur (bokeh) and incredible low-light performance through the entire zoom range.
Insanely Lightweight: At under 800 grams, you can actually carry this thing around all day without needing a trip to the chiropractor afterward.
*Macro-Style Close Focusing: You can pull focus on things just inches away from the front element, making it secretly awesome for close-up detail shots.
The autofocus is lightning-fast, dead silent, and tracks subjects perfectly—which is huge if you are shooting video or fast action.
If you want the speed and compression of a pro telephoto zoom but you actually want to enjoy carrying your camera, this is the exact sweet spot.
I'm letting this one go on a first-come, first-served basis. It’s packed up, clean, and ready to go to a new home. Shoot me a message if you want it, and let's et it shipped out!
