Adult Cooper's hawk male on the hunt, chasing bats. I have seen kestrels take bats before, but never seen Cooper's hunt them. Pre-sunrise. Tucson, AZ at Sweetwater Wetlands. And a few of this male's juveniles interacting while waiting for him to deliver food.

Agree great action set. Don't see many bats on here or two hawks in the same frame. Nice captures.

thank you! They are so fun! I only saw him make one pass so through the bats, so got very lucky! /////the juveniles are just so fun to photograph!

WOW. I didn't know they hunted bats! Would be amazing to see given one moves by sight, and the other by sonar!
