Tulip was our recent house guest while her family (our neighbors) was away on a trip. She's a lot of fun to have around and this is her favorite game. No way am I able to pull the rope away from her. When we go to the nearby park I can actually swing her around off the ground while she keeps her jaws clamped on the rope.

Brings back many fond memories, Brent.
We had two Boston Terriers who loved to play this game. They were fierce and refused to let go! Lost a lot of teeth, but always won.
Thanks.

Thanks, Paul. My arms wore out before her jaw muscles did. Amazing how strong they are.

Determination, and confidence.

Care to share how you managed to play and focus/compose?

Bob and Marcelo, thanks for commenting. The technique is actually pretty simple with the rangefinder. I just set the focus to a little more than one meter, then while holding the rope in my left hand and camera in my right hand, I move myself slowly back and forth until the images line up. It's much easier than trying to move the focus ring with one hand.

PS--The lens is misidentified in the exif. It's not a 21mm but rather an uncoded 35mm f1.4 and I forgot to set the lens info manually in my M10-R menu. I do that a lot but it doesn't usually make any difference.
