I was walking along a dry lake bed that has been drained for a construction project. I've never seen cracks this deep, they were over two feet deep and more in areas. I liked the pattern they created and saw a black and white in my mind's eye.

Wow... and just curious Scott. Is there any data center near by?

Thanks Sreedhar! Haha, luckily no data centers nearby that the lake was drained for! They are adding a liner to the sides of the lake to prevent the water seeping into the ground.

I've always been fascinated by this pattern. You are right that they appear to be very deep. Thank you for sharing it.

It does make a nice pattern. I hope this project turns out better than the Reflecting Pool.

Haha yes, and thanks! The patterns were what caught my eye too. Hopefully the lake eventually gets restored soon. I was shocked when I got there and saw it was down probably like 30 feet from normal.

I appreciate your comment James, thanks! Yes, these were almost like small standing pillars of mud and that pattern really caught my eye. I tried a few compositions but the one I posted was my favorite.
