Many years ago we visited my wife's family at her grandmother's farm in Sedgewick, KS where I was introduced to the effects of a prevailing wind - all trees demonstrably inclined from west to east having no other option given the winds.
Came upon this scene Saturday in rural Georgia, winds here from southwest to northeast as suggested by the trees.
Wonderful image. The leaning of the trees adds interest, but the composition and great sky really make it. The curving road effectively pulls the eye right toward the large tree and farm.
