An historic village of 97 homes in Loudon County, most built before 1861, four built after 1922. Population of 121 (2020 census). I was out taking my photographs and I saw a woman approaching her home, I asked here if there was anywhere to get coffee in the morning, it was about 9:00 AM. She told me the Corner Store (pictured) didn't open until 10:00 AM, that I would have to drive to Purcellville, which I didn't care to do. She then asked, "Would you like me to make you coffee while you take your photographs?" 5 minutes later she brought out a large thermos with piping hot coffee. Gotta love small towns.

I have photographed this gem on many occasions. The telephone pole across the street from the USPS has unique bird houses all the way up the pole!
