p.1 #1 · Stacking in the backyard

15 shot in camera focus stacks from the planters in the backyard this morning. My goal was to try and isolate the subject but also take advantage of the detail afforded by a stacked macro image.
OM-1 ll and OM Systems 90 3.5 Macro
Thanks for taking a look !

Thanks John. As we get older each spring my wife and I agree to cut back on the planters. And then we get to the greenhouse

Holy moly, what a fantastic set of images. If I had to pick just one it would be #9. All, gorgeous though.

Love the clarity you are getting in those stacks, really makes the subjects pop. You are doing great not to get artifacts or weird transitions in and out of focus, that happens to me a lot when I try stacks. Nice work Gary!

Thanks Eric. These were from a tripod and I waited out the breeze to try and get them as still as possible. I know what you mean by the artifacts. That happens to me quite often when I hand hold.

Lovely images, #2 for me. I've heard of focus stacking, but have never looked into it in details. Would love to understand more about it.

Well it doesn't exactly fit your preferred subject matter. Maybe one day you'll get tired of shooting all those amazing wildlife images and you can look into it Appreciate the comment !

These are incredibly lovely photos, I also enjoy taking photos of the flowers my wife keeps in the backyard but I haven't done any with focus stacking but now I need to go try that! Very nice set.
