While parking at a local battery store to go walkabout along Carroll Creek, I spotted this ole Buick in the back lot. It was a brilliant cool morning. Light was harsh. Rear of car was blocked from view.
It is an "Electra" The front grill has a unique "Buick" logo that I can't find the year of.

I should have gone inside and asked.
It is blue but very faded..chrome is is in excellent condition..back tires were flat....
I love the tones and shadows of the second photo. The car reminds me of the Olds 98 my parents had when I was a kid. 8 mpg. 4-70 air. 0-60 in half hour. And spacious. Nice find. Eric.

Thank you Eric!
I used a blue filter I believe to accent the flatness of the "paint job" and bringout more dark.
Yeah they built them for abuse back then...miss the "tanks" of my youth!

That be one loooong 4-door sedan, Dan'l! I remember that logo, but can't place a year to it.

Man it is a "boat" brother!
The rear end was flush against the fence and I couldn't get behind it for more reference points to obtain the date.
Thanks Douglas!

yah that's a '72. I learned to drive in Dad's '71. Parallel parking was challenging. 5,400lbs gross with 500ft/lbs of torque. With a load of high school buddies it could hit 115mph going up the bay bridge. Bias ply tires allowed you to turn the wheel with nothing happening. Handling? Yes!
We all loved that car.
