There is nothing better than Piping Plovers and their babies. I love to go sit on the beach with my camera and watch them run around. When the littles run toward you, it is so fun! Some got too close for my camera to focus.
All shots were taken with a Nikon Z9 in crop mode, and a Z800 lens with the 1.4 TC. Effective focal distance is 1680.
can't help but smile when looking at your pictures. the youngest ones look like fluffy golf balls with legs. it's easy to see why you enjoy seeing them. thanks for the pictures and sharing them.

Hi Douglas! Yes, I was lying on my tummy to get the best angle. They move so fast, it is hard to keep focus.
