I had not taken any shots with the Tamron 70-210 f4 before visiting this butterfly house on the final day of my vacation. It was fairly bulky to transport and nearly regretted bringing it along.

Most assuredly! I otherwise relied on the kit lens which is not a favorite just one that is very small and travels very easily. Good for a vacation where I was not so singularly focused on photography. Before I went to Ireland a couple of weeks ago I purchased the Tamron 18-300 which is a much better do it all travel lens for my kind of stuff than the kit. Relied on it almost entirely. Thanks for the positive words!
