I'm thinking this will be a compelling 75mm for one lens outside of the oem Leica lens setup Im shooting for. 75mm isn't a focal length I'm generally interested in, but this one offers enough variety to the images it produces that I think it may fit the bill for that. Appreciate the write-ups on this.
I've owned quite a few Leica 75mm lenses over the years, including the Summilux and the APO. If you're looking for something with a different rendering style, the two that stand out to me are the MS Optics Sonnetar and this Light Lens Lab.
One thing to keep in mind with the MS Optics 73mm f/1.5 Sonnetar is that there seems to be some sample variation. Based on my experience and what I've heard from other users, finding a copy that is well rangefinder calibrated with consistent focus across the full distance range can sometimes take a bit of luck.
My copy of this Light Lens Lab has been the opposite. It arrived well calibrated and has focused reliably throughout the entire range. Of course, that's only my experience with a single sample. I'm still deciding whether to buy one myself, but I have to admit I'm very tempted. I really enjoy its rendering, and I think it also looks cool, much like the 50mm Z21 which I already own.
