Red-winged Blackbirds are incredibly aggressive at defending there nests and they will attack even the largest birds. I've also photographed them attacking a Great Egret and a Bald Eagle.

That is really cool! I know what you mean about territoriality - I got too close to a nest last year and the RWB strafed me hard!

Super catch, the look on the osprey is great Morris.

Maybe the RWBB is jealous of the osprey's fancy jewelry? I don't see too many banded ones around here.
