My life long water lily gardens closed a few years ago. Don't know why.
Here are some from the past...acres and acres of water lilies, lotus, Giant Lotus and all things "water bound".

Pretty cool !!! There are a couple places I visit that have water lilies, I always look for those tiny frogs

Frogs, snapping turtles and snakes..yes SNAKES....Lily Pons is about 50 acres or more of ponds of individual water plants.

I spent hours there..

I like the play of light in the last one Dan, lovely! The blue on the first flower rocks!!
Little froggy looks metallic and is great find as they do blend in well

I always enjoy these water gardens as well

Snakes have always been my nemesis John. Especially in SE Asia......

They scared me to death on more than 1 occasion.

Now I have learned to adapt to them.....Took 79 years but heh..I'm olde!

I will post some examples of the different ponds that "house" individual species of water lilies, lotus's and Giant Lotus's...

The grounds are loaded with flowers, creatures, water lilies, and even a parrot!

YES! Exactly what I saw when I photographed it Karl!

It was a very bright day and the sun made everything "sparkle"!

The last one is a stunner!

You were a little unlucky with the lighting on the first and third. In the Images menu in Photoshop, there is and adjustment for highlights and shadows.
