Are there different versions of the Sigma MC-11 for EF? I bought one in late 2019, but don't have it nearby. If the MC-11 has not changed I will try to retrieve that 2019 version and update the FW if possible for use with the a7rVI. If the current verson is better or faster I will just get a new one. They are now nearly twice the price.
I bought one of these (EF version) from Map Camera last week. As far as I can see, there is only one version of the EF adapter (and the separate SA version for Sigma mount). The latest firmware for the adapter is 1.42 (released in late 2022). Mine was on the latest firmware when it arrived.
Map Camera sells these at around 22K yen as new (including tax), but the pricing in Sigma Online store is 35K yen. There seems to be a big gap in pricing depending on stores, but there are no indications about any updates regarding HW and it seems the firmware is not getting updated anymore.
I saw that, but they are talking about the mount differences for Canon EF and Sigma SA. I'm using the common EF version, hoping it would work with the a7rVI and Sigmas 150/2.8 macro (first version).

I paid about US $150 new in 2019 and they are now $280. It seems there is no different revisions, so I should try to dig up that adapter and update it. Unfortunately nobody makes any modern tele macros so I'm trying to get some use from the Sigma 150/2.8. The AF is jerky and overshoots when adapted EF-RF, so I'm not sure how it would do on modern E mount.

No, there's just the single version. Time to start digging!
The bigger question is how it'll work out with the lens, and that I don't know. If you don't mind MF, IRIX makes a fairly killer 150/2.8 macro that tends to be cheap on the used market.
No manual focus. This is for small species. I'm not expecting fast AF from the 2006 lens, just hoping it works. I'd probably just use a modern 100mm macro on static subjects but critters don't like being close.
I’m interested in getting one too for my A7V. However the reviews for it using Canon EF lenses are mixed. So I think I’ll just use the EF lenses with my Canon cameras.

Understood. I use the 70-200/4GII for bugs and small critters, and the fast focus at close distances and range helps a great deal before they run/fly away.
