p.1 #1 · Looking for help with OM file system

Switching from Nikon, my wife just bought an OM-1, and neither of us has been able to make much sense of the file system. I was going to go on with a complicated explanation of the problems here, but instead will just ask if anyone can help to interpret the options here.

I'm used to the Nikon system, in which once a number sequence is chosen, that sequence goes on whatever cards are present, regardless of what else is on the card. If a card fills up and overflows to the second slot, you can remove the full card, move the part-full one to the first slot, put an empty in the second slot, and it continues with no duplicated numbers. Any way of doing this on Olympus?

thanks, will do.

I've gotten a little further in figuring out how to keep it from going all over the place, but still cannot seem to get my TG-7 from inserting files randomly on the card!

I can't help you with the TG-7 issue, but for your OM-1, I highly suggest investing in John Greengo's OM-1 Video Course. It is a very extensive, high quality production that covers all of the features and functions of the OM-1 Mkl and Mkll. It includes very clear hands-on demonstrations of many of the camera's functions and settings.
You can download the first three sections of the course for free to help you decide.
