p.1 #1 · Any suggestions regarding photo book production companies?
Not really sure where to post this…but here goes anyway!
I have, over several years, done a number of studio and location shoots with a UK model and published writer…mostly nude or fetish orientated.
We would like to produce a photo book together, my photos of her, but including comments / stories / memories from her experiences generally or of the shoots. So a mix of images and text.
I was wondering is anyone here had published anything in book form and could recommend a reliable company for me to check out? We are looking to publish…and we are reasonably flexible on the book prices but would want value for money.
I mostly shoot MF B+W film, or convert digital to B+W so the page paper quality would be important.

I have used Blurb very successfully. Their papers and production have been consistently good but they are quite expensive.
The important thing is to throttle-back your monitor to 100-120 ft. candles because otherwise the output will be darker than you expected.
And Proof-read carefully because what you send will be what will get printed!
