To clarify for collectors and shooters alike: this is a verified early production Variety B 8-element "Planar Killer" lens from the initial 1964 launch window. It is a global export unit featuring dual scales (both feet and meters), the early flat metal A/M toggle switch with a blank underside (no stamped product code numbers), and the early-batch orange trapezoid/diamond depth-of-field center marker.
OPTICAL CONDITION:Glass is pristine. No fungus, no haze, and no internal balsam separation. The protruding convex rear element is completely unmarked.
MECHANICAL CONDITIONry, snappy aperture blades with no oil.The focus ring turns smoothly and evenly across the entire throw.The aperture ring clicks firmly into every stop.
COSMETIC CONDITION: The lens barrel shows typical vintage rub wear from use over the decades (purely cosmetic, please see pictures). No deep dents or impacts.
