I managed to make it down to Irvine, CA on my recent trip to visit family. I originally thought the first was a White-eyed Vireo, which would have been a first for me, but apparently it's another escapee that's flourishing in Southern California.
OM-1 MKll Olympus 100-400
Thanks for taking a look !

Sweet! We had some visiting Avocets here in Ohio, really beautiful birds to see and a first for me. Color on Bluebird is amazing. Great find on the Spotted Towhee a bucket list bird for me. I first said white-eye then realized not quite, glad you put the right ID on I never would have figure that one out !
Aren't those Tree Swallows a treat of color and character!!
Bill
Thanks Bill

Always appreciate your detailed input Karl.
I wish I would have spent more time with those Tree Swallows. It's funny how you get to a spot that's a long way from home and you're so afraid that you'll miss something that you pass up what's right in front of you. At least that's what I tend to do. Looking back now I think I might have had a very good opportunity for some in flight or interaction shots if I would have just stuck to that spot instead of wandering.
Those Avocets were really pretty. First time I've seen them in breeding colors.
