There is no mistaking the sound the Pileated Woodpecker makes when it calls or it is hammering away at a tree trunk. Sometimes , they are on the ground with all the fallen trees. I had some fun watching a couple of them .

Yours are beautiful! I love the flying wood chip in #4 -- great capture.
