This is a Contax G1 Green label - for those who don't know, there were three lenses made for the G2 but not the G1 (21mm, 35mm, and a 35-70mm zoom). The green label (as seen on the inside) means the ROM has been upgraded to allow the use of the 21mm and 35mm lenses (so you STILL cannot use the 35-70). This camera, therefore, should work with every Contax G lens (including the 16mm) EXCEPT for the 35-70 zoom.
Camera is in fantastic condition cosmetically. There are signs of use here and there cosmetically, but nothing abnormal. No LCD bleeding in either window at all, which is extremely rare. There is a little debris in the viewfinder; nothing that hinders your view or usability, just stuff that appears after 20-30 years.
Selling for parts/repair because it seems to have issues with some lenses - or works intermittently, I'm not sure. It works great with my 45/2 Planar, but will not focus my 28/2.8. This could actually be the result of the lens having an issue, but I don't have another body to try it on. There may be other issues - I'm not sure what the problem is (or if there is one). No returns.
