I went with a Phillips 27 OLED monitor, which works great in my editing room and is easy to calibrate. If I want HDR, I use my 16 MacBook Pro screen, otherwise its the Phillips. im not providing an exact model because the model that I purchased has been discontinued.

Im not sure I have much to offer regarding budget options.
However, I prefer 27 over 32 monitors not just because of the increased number of choices at lower price points, but also because a 32 flat monitor is quite large to the point that you are looking at the corners at a significant angle. (I actually prefer two 27 monitors, with the monitors angled slightly inward and toward one another.)

For print proofing, I'd be more concerned about color and contrast rather than size. A high quality 24" display covering 100% Adobe RGB gamut will be more likely to show your print profiles without clipping.

I just bought an ASUS 279CRV 27" as my first monitor, and I was surprised by how large it is (though I do appreciate being able to view my images at A3+ size). I am very glad I did not go for a 32".
