p.1 #1 · A7V Sports

Hey all, anyone w/the new A7V that shoot sports, particularly baseball, have any issues with the rolling shutter?
Haven't been able to try one out yet and just curious! My A7IV is unusable for a lot of baseball heavy movement shots, and my A9 is getting old to say the least!

I'm going to order the V soon regardless, was just curious how well it will fair in baseball!!

-PS I don't make a living from it so that's why I haven't updated the A9 yet, I shoot a lot of my kid's HS games.

THANKS!!

I had an A7V rented a couple weeks ago so I stopped by the local college scrimmage to see how it would perform compared to my A9ii. The ball was slightly oblong coming off the bat every time. Other than that the camera takes wonderful images. The price point makes it very appealing, but I think I'm going to pass for now.

Oh cool, thanks for letting me know! PMR's video on rolling shutter was enough for me to see the camera is very serviceable for sports, and can keep up fairly well with baseball. Basically all I need and at the right price point!

I still shoot my OG A9 and get plenty good content. I just need my video in the same body so I can grab it all at the same time.
