Yeah... I don't think that's a real product. It looks horrible in terms of design (like those Samyang und Schneider-Kreuznach lenses that came out recently) and the marking look AI slopped.

Yes, this isn't even a very credible fake. The text on the lens is done quite poorly and it is described as an f/2.8 lens but has f/2.0 on the lens and it would be amazingly (and not credibly) small if it was an f/2.0 lens. All from a manufacturer who hasn't yet made AF lenses and whose MF lenses look nothing like this lens. I think the chance this rumor is accurate is very tiny.

Look carefully ,it is not 2.0 but 20 ,
and some other markings are not numbers.

'In April 2025, Thypoch teased a potential ultra-fast f/0.7 lens through a social media post (e.g., Instagram Reel) asking, "Is f/0.7 fast enough?". This sparked discussion in community channels like Telegram about whether such a lens is necessary or practical.'

I like the design; distinctive and understated.
However, the Sony 24-50mm is quite a good lens; the Thypoch would have to significantly better its price and/or performance to tempt me.
Price-wise, it will almost certainly be better than the Sony. And of course, the image quality will be worlds better. Having attended numerous lectures on Chinese lens design by a "specialist," I predict extremely spatial rendering, including face-shaping qualities due to the lack of ED glass, a reduced bokeh quantity to preserve context, and a pronounced vignetting that, unlike other manufacturers, is not a design-related and therefore accepted necessity, but rather an integral and therefore intentional part of the lens design.
😉

Interesting to see Thypoch jump from unchiped MF prime lenses (not even optimized for the Sony sensor stack, it appears) to AF zoom. Personally, I am still more interested in seeing them bring chipped and optimized versions of the M mount 21mm, 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 75mm f1.4 lenses to E or Z mount. If they can bring some of their optical magic to a reliable AF zoom, we could have a new interesting option, but I can't help but feel like that's a tall order. Hopefully we will be pleasantly suprised

The joke they appear to have made is on them. But looking on the bright side - when it flops, as it undoubtedly will in this sea of zoom mediocrity, they may return to complete the Simera lineup with a 100/1.4. But I fear these wayward fellows are more fond of ultra vintage lenses like the Ksanas.
That or some other hare-brained scheme on which to waste time. That's a shame because they got close to the ideal compromises in the Simeras. Maybe DZO cast them out and this is their true inclination. They might be a kind of skunk works of the cine parent, hence the 'humour'. Either way, management is at fault here. Lens design capability is top notch.
As is fancy videos. Do you want to buy their camera?

Thypoch makes no ultra vintage lenses. Their optical designs are quite modern as is their optical signatures. The only exception really being the 35/1.4 which I don’t think is “ultra vintage” by any means.
The Kasana 21/3.5 is entirely modern except some amber flare and vintage barrel design.
