What non-subscription photo editing and sharpening software products are the FM users running these days?
Capture One Pro (licence) and DxOPureRaw5.
I still use Photoshop CS6 I purchased years ago and still works on Win 11.
Of all the software I use, PureRaw5 provides the highest level of detail, both with and without noise reduction.
I rarely use NX Studio to process raw files of my Nikon bodies; NX Studio is rather effective in reducing LoCA, though.

Photolab is a good and capable image processing program, with great denoising, lens correction, and the capability to export reduced-size dng files, as well as the other formats. They come out with a new version every year. My understanding is that you can upgrade at a reduced price if your program is no more than 2 versions old. For example, you need to have version 8 to be able to upgrade to version 10 at a reduced cost. You can download a trial and use it for 30 days or so for free.
Affinity is now free and is similar to photoshop. You must pay to gain access to AI features.

Interesting not about the LoCA and NX Studio. I need to try that out in my photos. Thanks for that tip!

Here are a couple of examples of LoCA reduction (Zeiss 100/2 Makro-Planar w/open) by using NX Studio:
Thank you very much for the example photos. Much appreciated. I have used NX studio in the past and definitely will consider where LoCA needs to be addressed. I wish they give DNG output support

I'm pleased with ON1 Photo Raw for managing and editing my photo files. I also use the free Affinity app as a replacement for Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
