Not sure if this is an LRC issue or a PS issue, but gotta start somewhere. Okay, my process forever has been, import into LRC (up to date), edit in PS (up to date), save a TIFF for printing, and save a JPEG for my website (Zenfolio). Recently, my website images have stopped showing the lens data (it still shows the camera model).
I have no idea why, and Zenfolio support says it's not happening on their end. So...is there anything in LRC or PS regarding settings that I should check.
I did uncheck "write to XMP" in LRC some time back, but I cannot say that I can correlate this issue to that. It was taking forever to close when I had that checked, hence the change there. I run W11 in case that is important.
Not sure if it is relevant, but I use the "save for web" method for saving the JPEGs. Always have and never an issue since I began.
Are you sure the EXIF data you're looking for is actually in the image files? If the data is in the EXIF but not showing up in a viewer, either the tag names changed or the viewer is broken. Since your hosting vendor says the viewer isn't broken, that leaves tag names. Do any of your hosted images still show the lens data? If so, extract the EXIF from a working image and compare it to a non-working image. Maybe you can see tag name differences.
The metadata choices in Ps' Save for Web: None, Copyright, Copyright and Contact Info, All Except Camera Info, and All.
Metadata choices in Export from LrC: Copyright Only, Copyright and Contact Info Only, All Except Camera RAW Info, All Except Camera & Camera RAW Info, and All Metadata.
Okay...thank you both...
1) Yes...meta is there...I can see it in the file info.
2) I didn't really pay close attention, as I have used this same process since day 1 with exporting and the info was always there...I use "All..." but I guess I need to check to see if somehow that isn't checked for some reason.
It's a PITA...as much as I love shooting and being out there doing it...I do NOT like sitting at a puter and processing. Oh well...something I just gotta do.
