At first was going to say spring has arrived . It did but the cold has returned. The poor insects must be so confused.
Had fun with my first bugs of the "spring" season and my new 100mm lens. It was a nice couple of days. Can't wait until the cold goes away again sometime next week.
Thank you for looking and I hope you enjoy.

Well you just sold me on that lens, pinpoint sharpness and lovely colors here on all. Wonderful rendering on the yellows by the way
I really like #3 and would also like to see it in tighter without anything other than yellow flower showing
#4, you made that look easy, very cool image!
#5 is the winner for me, the bee detail is incredible!! Sweeeeet!
These are beautiful. My daffodils should bloom soon. It has been a weird winter here in the mountains of SW Colorado. Supposed to be 80 in a couple days….

A delight to view Roberta. Yes the warm weather has been a joy after the record setting winter. It's cold this morning yet nothing like it's been.
Morris
Much appreciated Morris. The weather has been quite dramatic with 50 degree swings in temperatures.

Very nice Birdie, great set #5 is my pick.
Very beautiful and super photography Roberta!
This was thee coldest Winter ever here. Not much snow but what fell, stayed from December until a few days ago.
Again wonderful photography "birdie"! #5 OUTSTANDING!
Dan
Thank you for this theme. I love that Helen Keller quote. So true. In my 77th year now, I've never seen so much war in man's world. But nature is positively relentless. I'll see these same pollinators, going through the same routines and it is wonderful.... reassuring.

Set up please? Just am wondering.
Thank you so much for the kind words Dan. My set up:
Sony A7R5
Sony 100mm f2.8 Macro Lens
Flashpoint Zoom Li-ON R2 Flash
Flash diffuser I use is the AK Diffuser ( I love it for the close up macro work)
Handheld no monopod or tripod . Too hard for me to chase these bugs around with either of those.

Robert, we are the same age and I totally agree. Never in all my years did I ever image the world would be in the shape it is now. As long as I am able, I will try and take photos as it helps keep me half way sane.
