The ice is mostly gone from our ponds so I headed back to Jamaica Bay for the first time in months to photograph the winter waterfowl. The west pond was nearly empty and I walked back to my car and as I was packing up two woman were returning from the East Pond. I'd seen them departing the West Pond so I asked them if the East Pond was as empty as the West Pond was and they said there were plenty of birds there so I stopped packing up and headed to the East Pond and had a wonderful afternoon shooting from the East Pond Blind on a nice warm yet cloudy day here in New York City.
Comments and suggestions welcome,

Thank you Wendal,
Gray days make buffleheads a lot easier yet still not easy

You got quite close to these skittish buffs! Nicely done Mr Morris.
Thank you Aditya,
Shooting from a blind made that possible
