I have only shot osprey from a good distance away . It is a bird, I have wanted to get closer to for quite sometime.
I finally had the opportunity to do so on a boat. What fun and what challenges ! Never have shot from a moving vessel before . Need some practice. My attempt at trying to mitigate my movement from the boat rocking was to increase the shutter speed . Of course this resulted in some ISO's up 16000 !!! ( It was also late in the day just adding to the challenges )
I know these might be lacking some of the details as they did challenge my processing skills . It was still a wonderful few hours to spend finding some ospreys.
Thank you for looking and commenting . I hope you enjoy.

"To photograph is to hold one’s breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It’s at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
Henri Cartier-Bresson
P.S. I would add to Mr. Bresson's quote - becomes a great physical and intellectual challenge and joy !
Nice job tracking the osprey in flight Roberta. If you want practice shooting from a rocking boat, ride the NYC subway for a few weeks during the rush hour when you need to stand.
